Mr. Brookner continues his role with the committee, and Mr. Horan brings his leadership experience from his position as Co-chair of the Young and New Members Committee.
ABI would like to thank outgoing Co-chair David Leibowitz of Lakelaw in Waukegan, Ill. for his contributions to the committee. Mr. Leibowitz will continue to serve the ABI as Co-chair of the Consumer Bankruptcy Committee.

At ABI's 29th Annual Spring Meeting, held March 31 - April 3, the Commercial Fraud Committee made a joint presentation with the Bankruptcy Litigation Committee titled "Good/Bad Faith Issues Relating to Involuntary Bankruptcy Filings, Plans of Reorganization, Ponzi Schemes (Clawback Issues), Responding to Discovery, Stay Relief Violations." The presenters discussed a variety of stimulating topics, including the origins and applicability of in pari delicto, exceptions to the ruling, SIPC receivership and forfeiture. The panel included David Arlington of Baker Botts LLC in Austin, Texas; Allan B. Diamond of Diamond McCarthy LLP in Houston; and Ronald R. Peterson of Jenner & Block LLP in Chicago.
