Views From The Bench, co-sponsored by the ABI and the Georgetown University Law Center, recently concluded in Washington, DC. Each year Views From The Bench offers a unique opportunity for bankruptcy practitioners and bankruptcy judges to convene for top-notch CLE and keen insights. This year's conference featured topics including asset disposition, real estate issues, retail bankruptcies and more. Rick Meth of Day Pitney LLP in Morristown, N.J. moderated the panel for the session "Current Developments In Ethics," who discussed issues including conflicts counsel, the role of local counsel, attorney-client privilege and more. The panel included Hon. Stephen S. Mitchell, U.S. Bankruptcy Court (E.D. Va.), Hon. S. Martin Teel, Jr., U.S. Bankruptcy Court (D. D.C.) and Hon. Judith H. Wizmur, U.S. Bankruptcy Court (D. N.J.).
