The 16th Annual Central States Bankruptcy Workshop
The 16th Annual Central States Bankruptcy Workshop will take place June 11-14 at the fabulous Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Traverse City, Mich. This year's conference features 24 bankruptcy judges on faculty, as well as an alternative workshop structure: one that caters to the consumer bankruptcy professional and one that caters to the business bankruptcy professional. Also enjoy the resort and surrounding area that boasts vineyards, outdoor activities and museums. One session will be of particular interest to the committee.
Panelists in the session "'Disclose, Disclose, Disclose!!!' Ethics Issues in Business Cases" will discuss disclosure requirements, creditors' committee issues, solicitation of committee members, the parameters of "disinterested" and "interest adverse to the estate," implications of credit default swaps, and fee disgorgement. Ronald L. Rose of Dykema Gossett PLLC in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. will moderate the session. Panelists will include Stephen M. Gross of McDonald Hopkins LLC in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., Kimberly J. Robinson of Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum & Nagelberg LLP in Chicago and Hon. Thomas J. Tucker of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court (E.D. Mich.) in Detroit.
