ABI's 17th Annual Northeast Bankruptcy Conference

ABI's 17th Annual Northeast Bankruptcy Conference and 5th Annual Northeast Consumer Forum will be held at the Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club in historic Brewster, Mass., July 8-11. This year's meeting offers the best regional speakers, discussion of timely topics and is sure to offer something for everyone. The resort provides access to the beautiful beaches of Cape Cod Bay as well as the Cape's only Nicklaus-designed golf course. One of the sessions will be of particular interest to the committee.

Panelists in the session "What's Old Is New Again: A Case Study of Pilgrim's Pride" will discuss the details of the Pilgrim's Pride case and its major issues including claims adjudication, legal, transactional and committee issues. Winston Mar of CRG Partners Group, LLC in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. will moderate. Panelists will include Hon. Gerardo A. Carlo of C. Conde & Assoc. in San Juan, P.R., Jeremy B. Coffey of Brown Rudnick Berlack Israels LLP in Boston, Joseph E. Miller, III of Lazard Frères & Co. in Chicago and David W. Parham of Baker & McKenzie LLP in Dallas. Your 2010-2011 Financial Advisors Committee Co-Chairs Announced

The ABI is pleased to announce your new Financial Advisors Committee Co-Chairs. Daniel F. Dooley of MorrisAnderson & Associates, Ltd. in Chicago and Edward T. Gavin of NHB Advisors in Wilmington, Del. have accepted the positions for the 2010-2011 term. Mr. Dooley moves up from his former committee position as Education Director and Mr. Gavin brings his experience from his previous co-chairmanship for the Ethics Committee.

The ABI would also like to thank Stephen S. Gray of CRG Partners Group LLC in Boston and Gerald A. Shapiro of BDO Consulting Corporate Advisors, LLC in New York for their service as Co-Chairs. They have contributed greatly to the leadership of the committee over the past three years and the ABI looks forward to working with them both in other capacities going forward.
