ABI's 17th Annual Central States Bankruptcy Workshop
ABI's 17th Annual Central States Bankruptcy Workshop will be held at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Traverse City, Mich., June 17-20. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, the area offers golf, wineries, fishing, hiking and shopping. In addition to an abundance of timely topics, this year's conference will offer a special workshop track for both consumer and business issues. One of the sessions will be of particular interest to the committee.
Panelists in the session "The Next (Tidal) Wave of Cases: Health Care Restructurings and Insolvencies" will discuss current challenges to the health care industry, important issues involved in health care insolvencies and an overview of how the new health care legislation will affect health care businesses. Panelists will include Dalton T. Edgecomb of Huron Consulting Group in New York, C. Daniel Motsinger of Krieg DeVault, LLP in Indianapolis, Shawn M. Riley of McDonald Hopkins LLC in Cleveland, Phillip J. Robinson on Grant Thornton in Chicago and Hon. John H. Squires of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court (N.D. Ill.) in Chicago. Your 2010-2011 Health Care Committee Co-Chairs Announced
The Health Care Committee is pleased to announce some recent and exciting changes. Leslie Berkoff of Moritt Hock Hamroff & Horowitz LLP in Garden City, N.Y. and Robert Guy of Frost Brown Todd LLC in Nashville, Tenn. have accepted the position of Co-Chair for the 2010-2011 term. Both Co-Chairs have been incredibly active in the past. Ms. Berkoff brings her experience from her previous co-chairmanship and Mr. Guy moves up from his previous committee position as Listserve Facilitator.
The ABI would also like to thank Suzanne Koenig of SAK Management Services, LLC in Chicago for her service as Co-Chair. Ms. Koenig has contributed greatly to the committee's leadership over the past three years. The ABI looks forward to working with her in other capacities going forward.
