Materials from ABI's 26th Annual Spring Meeting

The Annual Spring Meeting, held April 3-6, 2008, attracted more than 1,100 insolvency professionals from around the world.  The conference featured some excellent educational sessions in addition to featured speakers Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.).

Below are links to materials relating to international insolvency issues from the session "Finding The Center: The Insolvency Of Hedge Funds And Other Offshore Entities." Daniel M. Glosband of Goodwin Procter, LLP in Boston moderated the session, and the panel included: Karen B. Dine, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, LLP, New York; Hon. Arthur J. Gonzalez, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, New York; Robin F. Phelan, Haynes and Boone, Dallas; and Stuart Sybersma, Deloitte, Cayman Islands. The first set of materials is the PowerPoint presentation, and the second set of materials is an article titled “Chapter 15 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code: New Procedures for Cross Border Insolvencies." This article was written by Judith Elkin, Robin Phelan, Scott Everett, and Autumn Smith, all from the law firm of Haynes and Boone, LLP.
