ABI Presents Features of Interest

As an added service to our members, the ABI will feature topics of interest, debates and studies about bankruptcy, the economy and other relevant areas. This issue of the newsletter features a report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office about the Treasury's response to the financial crisis through implementation of the Troubled Asset Relief Program. In the report, the GAO tracks how the Treasury attempts to return the debt portfolio to pre-market crisis structure. Strategies include reduction of reliance on cash management bills, raising cash and securities and improving Treasure Inflation Protected Securities' liquidity.
