Materials From The Views From The Bench Program

The Views From The Bench Program, co-sponsored by the ABI and the Georgetown University Law Center, recently concluded in Washington, DC.  Each year Views From The Bench offers a unique opportunity for bankruptcy practitioners and bankruptcy judges to convene for top-notch CLE and keen insights. This year’s conference featured topics including asset disposition, real estate issues, retail bankruptcies and more.  The panel for the session “Real Estate: Homebuilders, Commercial And Hotels,” discussed a number of timely topics including bankruptcy remoteness, intercreditor agreements, single asset real estate cases, sales of assets, cram down and reorganization and automatic stay issues.  Materials from the session are available below.  The panel from the session included Hon. Rosemary Gambardella, U.S. Bankruptcy Court (D. N.J.), Hon. Robert A. Mark, U.S. Bankruptcy Court (S.D. Fla.) and Hon. Gregg W. Zive, U.S. Bankruptcy Court (D. Nev.).  David R. Kuney of Sidley Austin LLP in Washington moderated the panel and Michael L. Bernstein of Arnold & Porter LLP in Washington served as facilitator.
