Register Now for the Rocky Mountain Bankruptcy Conference

The 14th Annual Rocky Mountain Bankruptcy Conference will be held Jan. 22-23 in downtown Denver at the Westin Tabor Center.  This year's program promises to provide attendees with an interactive learning experience led by a faculty of prominent bankruptcy judges as well as experienced practitioners. The session, "Branding the Cattle:  Executory Contracts - How to Keep the Ones You Want," will address issues that landlords face in dealing with unexpired non-residential real property leases and strategies for having leases assumed, as well as other mechanisms for getting favorable treatment in bankruptcy.  Panelists will include Weston Anson of CONSOR Intellectual Asset Management in La Jolla, Calif., Jill L. Murch of Foley & Lardner LLP in Chicago, Steven C. Strong of Ray, Quinney & Nebeker, PC in Salt Lake City and Hon. Judith H. Wizmur of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court (D. N.J.) in Camden, N.J.  John F. Committee Session at the 27th Annual Spring Meeting

The 27th Annual Spring Meeting will be held April 1-4 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, just south of our Nation's Capitol in National Harbor, Md. This year's conference will have a special focus on the tough policy choices facing the new administration and Congress. The Real Estate Committee will hold a joint session on Thursday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. with the Asset Sales Committee and the National Auctioneers Association. Gary S. Jacobson of Herold and Haines, PA in Warren, N.J. will moderate the panel for the session entitled "Maximizing the Value of Commercial Real Estate, Machinery and Equipment and Intellectual Property through the Auction Process."
