Winter Leadership Conference Activities: Tequila-Tasting and Silent Auction

One of the highlights of the Winter Leadership Conference, held Dec. 9-11 in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., was a special ABI Endowment “Baja Bash: Sipping Under the Stars” event, which featured tastings of five specialty tequilas and a presentation of awards to donors who have reached milestone levels of giving. ABI Vice President-Development Christopher A. Ward (Polsinelli; Wilmington, Del.) presented awards to Victor Owens (East West Bank; Pasadena, Calif.) and Patricia A. Redmond (Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson, PA; Miami), and then invited longtime ABI member and supporter Richard P. Carmody (Adams and Reese LLP; Birmingham, Ala.) to speak about his more than 30 years of service and his decision to join ABI’s Founders Society by naming the Endowment as a significant beneficiary in his will.

The Baja Bash was made possible by generous donations from sponsoring firms, including BakerHostetler; Blank Rome LLP; Donlin, Recano & Company; Polsinelli; and Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick LLP.

Redmond & Ward

Christopher A. Ward presented Patricia A. Redmond with a Millennium Level award.
