SOUTHEAST BANKRUPTCY WORKSHOP IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER

The ABI Endowment will be hosting a tequila-tasting for registrants of the Southeast Bankruptcy Workshop, being held July 20-23 in Amelia Island, Fla. This event will include tequilas, margaritas, sangritas, Mexican beer and light fare from 9:30-11:30 p.m. on July 21 at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. All proceeds benefit the ABI Endowment. We are grateful to Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP/Steve Berman and BakerHostetler/Donald A. Workman for sponsoring this event. For more information (including details about becoming a sponsor), please contact ABI Endowment Manager Erin Green at egreen@abi.org.

In addition, we will be running a silent auction throughout the workshop. If you would like to donate any items for the silent auction, please check out ABI’s Wish List at amazon.com for potential items. In addition to the Amazon list, other items such as weekend getaways, golf outings, sports suites and wine/spirits tend to do well at auction.

Another Way to Give to the Endowment: ABI Founders Society

By becoming a member of the ABI Founders Society, you can continue to support the Endowment and ABI for years to come through estate-planning. All the proceeds benefit the ABI Endowment Fund and are 100% tax-deductible. When you include ABI in your estate plan, your generosity helps provide additional funding for the Endowment so that it can continue to support current and future industry members. Please visit the ABI Founders Society for more information. If you have any additional questions, please reach out to Erin Green.

The L.A. Wine Dinner Is BACK!

Last year’s L.A. Wine Dinner was a huge success, and we are looking forward to hosting the event again this year. Last year, the dinner raised more than $12,000 for the ABI Endowment. This year’s event will take place Thursday, October 26, at the Griffin Club. Further details will be shared in future Developments emails and in the ABI Journal. If you are interested in participating in this event, please reach out ABI Endowment Manager Erin Green at egreen@abi.org. We hope to see you there!
