What’s New at ABI World?
Online Features of Interest to Ethics Committee Members
Check out the new ABI World to view the upgraded Ethics Committee section. The new “committees” area of the web site allocates space for each ABI committee. From the home page, click on “About ABI” and then “Committees” to see all of ABI’s committees. In the left-hand navigation in blue, click on “Ethics.”
Once you click on the Ethics Committee, you will notice that the left-hand navigation in blue has changed again. Within the main page, you will see a listing of the committee chairs, the committee listserves (where you can join or view the Ethics Committee listserve) and agendas for any upcoming meetings of the Ethics Committee. In the left-hand navigation you will note that beneath “Ethics” there are three options: Minutes, Newsletter and Educational Materials. The “Minutes” page provides minutes from past Ethics Committee meetings. The “Newsletter” page provides all back issues of the Ethics electronic newsletter. The “Educational Materials” page provides educational materials from past conferences that address ethics issues.
The October issue of the ABI Journal will soon be hitting your mailboxes. The issue includes a few articles of interest to Ethics Committee members, including “The Other Lamie Shoe: Is Employment Regulated by 11 U.S.C. §327(a)?” (written by C.R. “Chip” Bowles Jr.) and “The Legacy of Reading Co. v. Brown: Administrative Claims Arising from Trustee or DIP Misconduct” (written by Daniel Morman).
The latest bankruptcy court opinions and circuit case updates are made available at ABI world every week.

The latest edition of the West Bankruptcy Newsletter is now available. Provided by West Group, the newsletter is a weekly update on bankruptcy and debtor/creditor matters.
Bankruptcy headlines are offered online via Dow Jones’ Daily Bankruptcy Review, The Daily Deal’s Bankruptcy Thursday and the Bankruptcydata.com Bankruptcy Headlines—all available at ABI World for members. And don’t forget ABI’s Daily Bankruptcy Headlines, posted each weekday by 9 a.m.
